New Delhi 5 March 2023 (CCBI): The National Youth Leaders Training Programme was kicked off at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Okhla, New Delhi on Friday 3 March 2023 by His Grace Most Rev. Anil Joseph Thomas Couto, Secretary General, CCBI and the Archbishop of Delhi. 60 Youth leaders from 11 Regions of the CCBI were attended the three-day training programme.
The inaugural Holy Mass began with a short introduction followed by lighting of the Indian lamp by the Archbishop Anil Couto along with Fr. Chetan Machado, Executive Secretary, CCBI Youth Commission, Mr. Abhishek Bhattacharjee, Coordinator, YCS/YSM India, Ms. Jyoti, Vice President, ICYM and Ms. Anjali.
At the inaugural Holy Mass Archbishop Anil Couto exhorted the leaders to commit themselves to serve the society and the Church with an unconditional spirit. He highlighted the divine wisdom which is operating in each individual, and he requested the young leaders to follow the divine wisdom which comes from the Holy Spirit.
Most Rev. Ignatius D’ Souza, Chairman of the CCBI Youth Commission and the Chairman of the CBCI Youth Council and the Bishop of Bareilly celebrated the Holy Mass on Sunday 5 March 2023.
Rev. Dr. Stephen Alathara, Deputy Secretary General, CCBI, Fr. Chetan Machado, Executive Secretary, CCBI Youth Commission, Rev. Fr. Anil D’Sa S.D.B. and Ms. Anastasia Neil Pinto lead the various training sessions. The training programme was conducted in an atmosphere of spiritual discernment which was unfolded through Holy Mass, Eucharistic adoration, way of the cross, meditation and orientation talks. The three-day National Youth Leaders training programme will conclude on 5 March 2023 at 6pm.
